Gantry cranes are a type of overhead crane that gets their name from their assembly. They are constructed on top of a gantry: a structure that crosses over an area and supports a set of road signs, bridge, or other construction equipment.
Gantry cranes can have single or double girder configurations. They are typically used for outdoor applications or below existing overhead bridge crane systems.
Underslung Cranes are ceiling mounted. They are generally a lot lighter than their top running counterparts. You can also run these cranes next to one another without the risk of interfering with each other.
